state Duma introduced a bill on criminal responsibility for the implementation of the requirements of the anti-sanctions on Russia. The corresponding document is published in the electronic database of the lower house of Parliament on Monday, may 14.
the Document envisages punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term not exceeding four years, or compulsory works for the period or a fine of up to 600 thousand rubles. Citizens who contribute to the introduction of restrictive measures is proposed to deprive of liberty for a term up to three years and fine in the amount up to 500 thousand rubles.
the Authors of the initiative became the speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko, Chairman of the state Duma Vyacheslav Volodin, the leaders of the parliamentary factions, first Vice-speaker of the Communist party Ivan Melnikov, first Vice-speaker of the United Russia Alexander Zhukov and the first Deputy head of the United Russia faction Andrei Isayev.
Earlier in the state Duma was introduced a bill to sanctions the U.S. and other countries, it implies the right of the government to President’s decision to introduce a number of responses. They include the prohibition or restriction on the importation of certain products, and suspended cooperation in certain areas. Later in the bill included an amendment about the support industries, individual enterprises and single-industry towns, which have suffered from sanctions and Russia’s retaliatory measures.
