The foreign Ministry has proposed to close the U.S. Consulate in St. Petersburg

In response to the closure of the Russian Consulate General in Seattle of the foreign Ministry proposed to close the U.S. Consulate in St. Petersburg. The final decision will be taken by President Vladimir Putin, reports “Izvestia”.

47 percent of voters in the Twitter spoke for the closure of the U.S. Consulate in St. Petersburg. 35 percent of respondents felt that the best response to close the U.S. Consulate in Yekaterinburg. For the closure of the diplomatic mission in Vladivostok, voted 18 percent. In total the survey was attended by 57.5 thousand people.

Earlier, the US government announced, expelled the 48 members of the Russian Embassy, 12 diplomats from the Russian mission to the UN and shut down the Consulate in Seattle.
